Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The purchases of the three major importers of antisera and other blood fractions, namely Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, represented more than two-thirds of total import. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the import price increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($X,822 per ton), while Iran ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
