Georgia, Israel, the United States, Russia, Azerbaijan, Italy, Bulgaria, Morocco, Serbia and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Morocco (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for paper label exported from Turkey were Egypt ($X), Iraq ($X) and Germany ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by X%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Azerbaijan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey

In 2023, supplies from abroad of labels of paper or paperboard increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after four years of decline. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, paper label imports declined modestly to $X in 2023. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

China (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of paper label imports to Turkey, together comprising X% of total imports. Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, the United States, Georgia, Sweden, the UK, France, Hong Kong SAR and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
