Plant-Growth Regulators Price in Sri Lanka (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average plant-growth regulators import price amounted to $9,863 per ton, picking up by 29% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($41,755 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($5,238 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+19.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average plant-growth regulators export price amounted to $4,854 per ton, declining by -32.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 115% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $13,604 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
