In December 2021, the average export price for copper; refined and copper alloys, unwroughts amounted to $4,653 per ton, with a decrease of -3% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to December 2021, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2021 when the average export price increased by 12% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $4,808 per ton in July 2021; however, from August 2021 to December 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In December 2021, the countries with the highest prices were the UK ($5,053 per ton) and Hong Kong SAR ($5,004 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($3,992 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($4,233 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
