Price for Rusks and Toasted Bread in Canada (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average rusks and toasted bread export price amounted to $5,297 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 7.4% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $5,402 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to +0.8% per month.

The average rusks and toasted bread import price stood at $3,484 per ton in June 2023, surging by 4.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 20% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,603 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
