Morocco (X square meters) and Uganda (X square meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Ethiopia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the sheep or lamb skin leather, prepared exports, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007 to 2018. At the same time, Uganda (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Tunisia (-X%), Morocco (-X%) and Nigeria (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Ethiopia (+X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2007-2018, the share of Tunisia (-X p.p.), Morocco (-X p.p.) and Nigeria (-X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In Ethiopia, prepared sheep leather exports increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2018. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Nigeria (-X% per year) and Morocco (-X% per year).

Overall, prepared sheep leather imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, prepared sheep leather imports reached their peak figure at X square meters in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.
