From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Italy totaled +32.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (-16.1% per year) and Slovakia (-14.5% per year).

The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 3.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the export price increased by 41% against the previous year. For the third consecutive year, Europe recorded growth in supplies from abroad of quilted textile products in the piece (excluding embroidery), which increased by 29% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 79% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, quilted textile products imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 105% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Russia was the largest importer of quilted textile products in the piece (excluding embroidery) in Europe, with the volume of imports accounting for X tons, which was near 37% of total imports in 2021. Ukraine (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 10% share, followed by Spain (7.8%), Croatia (6.9%) and Slovakia (5.2%). From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to quilted textile products imports into Russia stood at +17.6%. At the same time, Slovakia (+98.8%), Bulgaria (+86.3%), Croatia (+70.7%), Italy (+40.7%), Germany (+27.3%), Spain (+26.5%), Poland (+18.4%), the UK (+11.7%), France (+8.2%), Ukraine (+4.5%) and Serbia (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Slovakia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Europe, with a CAGR of +98.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Belarus (-4.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Spain (+7.8 p.p.), Croatia (+6.9 p.p.), Slovakia (+5.2 p.p.), Poland (+3.8 p.p.), Italy (+2.8 p.p.), Russia (+2.6 p.p.), France (+2.4 p.p.), Bulgaria (+2.1 p.p.) and Germany (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Serbia (-6.4 p.p.), Belarus (-12.8 p.p.) and Ukraine (-17.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was taken by France ($X), with an 8.4% share of total imports. It was followed by Ukraine, with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia totaled +19.9%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+88.3% per year) and Ukraine (+3.8% per year).

The import price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 8.7% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the import price increased by 16%.
