It was distantly followed by Zambia (X tons), generating a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Mauritius (X tons) and Malawi (X tons) - each reached a X% share of total exports.
Exports from South Africa decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Zambia (X%) and Malawi (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Zambia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in SADC, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Mauritius (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Zambia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Mauritius and South Africa saw its share reduced by X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively.
