The volume of export peaked at X square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, composition leather exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 1,504% against the previous year. In 2021, composition leather imports in ASEAN skyrocketed to X square meters, increasing by 51% on the year before. Overall, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 56%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
